Hi, I’m Will Ortiz—a portrait photographer, dad, musician, tech enthusiast, and creative.

I’ve always loved giving someone a photo that feels like a true memory of who they are. A great portrait does more than document how you looked, it holds onto your energy, confidence, personality, and a moment in your life that will never happen in quite the same way again.

My work is rooted in people and shaped by the energy of the city I was born and raised in, New York. I’m drawn to expressive faces, bold movement, and the relationship between a person and their surroundings. Sometimes that means photographing a dancer in motion against the geometry of the city. Sometimes it’s a confident professional portrait, a creative fashion concept, or a quiet expression that appears while we’re simply talking.

I work with dancers, actors, artists, musicians, professionals, families, and everything else in between. Every session begins with a conversation about what you need and how you want to be seen. From there, I provide reassurance, direction, and room to explore.

My sessions are relaxed and collaborative. We may have a scheduled time, but when the energy is right and we’re creating something special, I’m not watching the clock. The goal is to overdeliver, not only with strong images, but with an experience that leaves you feeling comfortable, energized, and more confident in yourself.

My photographs have appeared in newspapers, on album covers, and in political campaigns. Whether the assignment is professional, personal, or creatively ambitious, I bring the same values to it: honesty, intimacy, curiosity, and attention to the moments that cannot be manufactured.
